How to play

You are the Soap Boxer. Every room is a maze with germs in it. Scrub every germ for a bonus, or just find a door and run. Every door leads to a new room with more germs, and the germs get faster.

Controls

• Phone or tablet: drag your left thumb to move. Drag your right thumb to shoot that way. Tap with your right thumb to fire straight ahead.
• Computer: arrows or W A S D move. Hold Space to keep firing where you are facing. I J K L fire up, left, down and right (hold two for a diagonal, hold to keep firing). P pauses.
• Which way am I shooting? The little blue arrow next to the Soap Boxer always points where the next bubble goes.
• One thumb: turn it on at the title screen. Drag anywhere to move and the Soap Boxer aims and fires for you at any germ lined up with him. A tap fires straight ahead. Good for one hand, a lap, or a grown-up holding the phone with a coffee.

The Big Boogie

Stay in a room too long and the Big Boogie bounces in. Suds do nothing to it. It goes right through walls. Get out a door.

Tips

• Germs are dumb. Put a wall between you and a germ and watch it crash. A crashed germ still counts.
• Scrub every germ in a room before you leave. The bonus is big.
• In Big Kid mode the walls are grimy. Touch one and you get slimed, so slow down at the corners.
• Snotzilla spits in straight lines. Stand off the line, then step in and fire.

Grown-ups

This is an old-arcade maze shooter wearing a hand-washing lesson. The four germs are the same crew from Poopy Fingers, and each one has a real way to beat it. The game never explains the why. This page and the paper sheets do.

What a kid practices without noticing: aiming in eight directions, timing, using the walls against something faster than they are, and knowing when to leave a room instead of fighting the clock.
